Futon Factory L.A. Inc. evolved from a decorative fabric company dating back to 1976 and was incorporated in 1991 into the Futon Factory L.A. of today. Located in the Los Angeles, Culver City area. Futon Factory L.A. has been helping people with their futon needs for over seventeen years. Some of the employees have been with us for over 20 years.
With years of experience making futons all by hand, our employees have helped thousands of people find that right futon mattress with the right futon frame.
Most Futons are uncompressed cotton layered into a fire retardant cover and held in place by a process called tufting . We add different types of foam to help keep the shape of the futon. Futons are known to be hard bedding. The general rule is the more foam we add the softer the futon becomes. We invite you to watch your futon being made on the premises.
Over the years we have been using the same high grade cotton blend (70% First Cut for loft and 30% long fiber Gin Flue for stability).
We also utilize several excellent foam products, which enables us to offer over 20 different types of futon mattresses:

- High density polyurethane for Buddha Beds and Folding Foam items.
- Softer polyurethane for our Double Decker and Supercore mattresses.
- Reflex Polymer, a lifetime warranty product in various densities, depending on the desired degree of softness or firmness.
- Memory foam, which forms to the natural contours of your body. This type of foam is considered to be the Rolls Royce of bedding materials. You will find our own memory foam futons priced way below national advertised brands in a choice of 20 colors.
